Policies:

Grading is weighted in three assessment categories: Test/quiz (40%), Written/ project (40%), and Daily/practice (20%).  Grades can change greatly from day to day, depending upon what is being tallied.  

A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69

Typically, grades will be updated on Infinite Campus weekly, usually by Friday or the following Monday, depending on the week.  Grades for late or absent work will take up to a week longer to post.

ABSENT work can be obtained via email or in class and is to be turned in within 2 days of last day of absence.  Extensions can be granted for longer absences.

LATE assignments from the Project/Written category will lose 10% per day until 50%, and may be accepted later if arrangements are made with me.  LATE assignments from the daily work category lose 50% and are only accepted for credit the following day.  TESTS and QUIZZES can be made up any time within a week.

TEST RETAKES may be available only if a test is failing.  Retakes may require additional study sessions.

EXTRA CREDIT work is not offered.  Occasional bonus point opportunities may be offered, but these can usually not make up for major credit losses.  Let's do the regular work and no one will need extra credit.
